The methods of identification for genuine and counterfeit Luzhou Laojiao are as follows:

During the 1990s, Luzhou Laojiao had a high collection value due to the good craftsmanship used, the rarity of the bottle shapes, the rich bouquet of the liquor, and the fine production techniques. Unscrupulous traders might attempt to deceive consumers with counterfeit products. However, no matter how realistic a fake is, it's still a fake, and flaws will always be found in the details. Today, let's share how to distinguish between genuine and counterfeit Luzhou Laojiao!

Firstly, check the packaging:

1. Plastic straps: The appearance should have an even color, with neat and clear patterns. The straps are embossed with the specific characters “泸州老窖” (Luzhou Laojiao).

2. Look at the liquor box:

(1) The font "中华老字号" (Chinese Time-honored Brand) on the box is hollow in the genuine version, while the striped ones are fake.

(2) The background of the "泸州老窖" font in the genuine product does not connect with the horizontal stripes, whereas in the counterfeit, the stripes connect with the four characters.

(3) The character "特" in “特曲” (Special Brew). In the genuine product, "特" is centered and does not fully align with the top of the background, while the counterfeit is aligned with the top edge and appears very crudely made.

(4) The ship and sail at the bottom of the box should feel embossed to the touch on the genuine box, while the counterfeit will have it printed on.

(5) Along with the liquor factory's address on the lower part of the box. In the genuine product, the font is within a drawing, with part of the drawing below the text, while the counterfeit does not have the drawing below.

(6) Product introduction. The stripes in the font appear intermittently, whereas in the counterfeit, they form a straight line.

(7) Time-honored brand font. In the genuine product, the middle of the character "号" (brand) is serrated, while the counterfeit is flat.

(8) Anti-counterfeit label. Scanning the anti-counterfeit label of a genuine product will give you the official Luzhou Laojiao website, while the counterfeit links to a random and messy web address.

(9) Anti-counterfeit code. The genuine product has metal particles embedded inside the code, while the counterfeit has the metal particles directly stamped onto it.

(10) Production date. When inspecting with a magnifying glass, the codes sprayed on genuine products appear as round dots (excluding the 375ml bottles).

1. Bottle cap: The shape should be intact, the surface smooth, with full embossed patterns, without scratches on the coating, and the color even. Both the inside and outside surfaces of the cap should be coated, differentiating from the color of the aluminum material.

2. Liquor bottle: The Special Brew and Head Brew bottles are exclusive to Luzhou Laojiao, with straight bodies, good smoothness, and English letter codes at the bottom.

3. Label: The labels of Luzhou Laojiao are finely printed. The specific characters "泸州老窖" can be felt as embossed and full, clear and complete, smaller than size 5, but the meanings are not mistaken. The Special Brew label has a red English letter and a 7-digit number printed on the back; the Head Brew is the same but in red or blue, while the Second and Third Brews are in red, and the gift box Second Brew in black.

4. Trademark: The genuine product has a registered trademark over the whole bottle, with the small words "泸州老窖" and the three bigger characters "特曲酒" in the middle, as well as a round trade mark pattern made of wheat ears and color above the middle. Although the fake may very closely resemble the genuine in characters and bottle shape, the registered trademark "泸州牌" will be different, usually not daring to infringe on the "泸州牌" mark.

5. Recognize the manufacturer: Genuine products will have "中国四川泸州曲酒厂" (China Sichuan Luzhou Qu Liquor Factory) and "四川省泸州曲酒厂" (Sichuan Province Luzhou Qu Liquor Factory) marked on the trademark, without the word "branch" in the name. Guojiao 1573 authenticity identification:

(1) Look at the packaging: Under a purple light, the words "国窖1573" can be seen clearly. The binding part of the box (the cardboard ridge) should be red with a paint film.

Upon comprehensive review, the Guojiao 1573's trade name, color, pattern, label, bottle cap, liquor bottle, certificate, and gift box should all be considered. The edges of the packaging should be neat and tight, without unevenness or gaps.

(2) Look at the bottle: The word "窖" on the bottle is where the cap packing paper and the body of the bottle perfectly join together.

(3) Look at the bottle cap: The yellow specialty glue ring under the cap will burst after opening. In the genuine product, it's completely sealed inside the cap.

(4) The codes on the Guojiao 1573 packaging supplied to different regions are different. The code for bottles supplied to Tibet is "川G012", and some of the older stock has the code "川G9". Besides these, there are no other codes.
